This was the winning response to April's contest question..."Tell me what being saved means to you".

being saved can go lots of diffrent ways. some of the many thoughts to me would
be assurence in life after death in heaven. knowing u stand a higher ground over
the world in a sence. knowing inside u have greater purpose. knowing u always
have the holy spirt inside. i feel that being saved i have a special and closer
realationship with christ. as a christian u have reasponsabilities, such
as:witnessing, keeping your faith strong around the world, showing and knowing u
have a greater cause. this is what being saved means to me.

This was the winning response to May's contest question...(Why do I go to church?)
I go to church because knowing that you are going to a place where everybody
loves you can make you have the greatest feeling inside. Knowing that you have a
church family that will be there for you, when yours might not always be.  Going
to church and being with people that can inspire you so much, I think, is the
greatest place to be. Being with people that believe the same thing’s you do.
People that believe and completely trust in the word of God.  My most favorite
days of the week are Sundays and Wednesdays, because it is just another day for
me to go be with the people I love the most and worship God. For me, going to
church, is helping me extend my knowledge of the Lord, of Jesus Christ. My dream
is to become a missionary and travel to Mexico and Indonesia to help spread the
word. The word that Jesus loves us, and loves us all.  That he died for us, to
wipe our sins away.  To let people know that they have the chance to have
eternal life in heaven. By going to church my knowledge in the studies of the
Bible will become stronger, and will help my dream to come true. Brittney Craig

June Winner Holly Hodge
Okay so there was ANOTHER battle between the Phillistines and Israel. I think
they do it on purpose for the adrenaline rush, but anyways. The king, David,
actually went down to fight in the battle [not a very good idea] and he wore
himself out. So then along comes Ishbi-Benob, and boy was he a tough dude, he
was like this super strong fighting machine, even the head of his spear weighed
about eight pounds itself. So he walked out and there and was all like "Yo,
David, you betta watch yo back, I swear I'ma kill you." So David was probably
like "Oh great, when I thought things couldn't get any worse, this big dude's
gonna like sit on me or something." But then comes Abishai to David's rescue.
And he beat that giant down. Then David's men were all like, "Yo David, we would
really appreciate it if you would just sit on your throne and not come out to
the battlefield, Kthanks." Or they might of said, "Never again will you go out
with us to battle, so that the lamp of Israel will enevr be extinguished." The
End.
